<\/p>\nIn the Kamnik Photo Club this spring, we held several workshops where the participants learned how to make a pinhole camera from simple materials, and also learned about the basic laws of analog photography. Many beautiful and interesting works were created at the workshops, so we invite all photography enthusiasts to the opening of the Pinhole photography exhibition, which will take place on Friday, June 14, at 7:00 p.m. in the renovated premises of the Photo Club Kamnik.<\/p>\n
The pinhole camera consists of a well-sealed box with a small hole on one side. Light enters the box through this hole and is projected onto the back of the box. Since the light rays passing through the pinhole travel in straight lines, the image we get on the back side is inverted by 180\u00b0. The image can be projected onto photographic film or paper and used later, or it can be projected onto a white surface and observed in real time. Pinhole photography is a variation of the camera obscura. The works in the exhibition were created using the pinhole method and were developed in the club's darkroom.<\/p>\n

The idea of a gallery in the current premises of the Photo Club Kamnik is not new. The space, which we renovated this year with the desire to have a nicer, more spacious and more useful gallery, hosted quite a few club and solo exhibitions of our members in the last three years before the renovation. The renovation represents an upgrade in the usability of the space, as this, with new flooring, lighting and increased square footage of the exhibition space, enables even better performance of the previous activities and brings a new photography exhibition space to the local community. I hope that the renovated image of the gallery will encourage our members to prepare new exhibitions and workshops in the studio, so that they will be even more happy to come to meetings in the friendlier renovated space.<\/p>\n

\nThe Kamnik Institute of Culture, which issued us a permit for the renovation,
\nand to all other members who participated in the work actions.<\/p>\n
