The first picture of the month in 2025 was taken on a group photography trip by members of the Kamnik Photo Club to the Ljubljana Marshes. As part of the club's activities, members occasionally go on group trips to interesting parts of Slovenia, and sometimes abroad. On such trips, we often exchange experiences, learn from each other, and compare different approaches to our hobby. This gives us the opportunity not only to socialize, but also to gain new knowledge, learn new skills, and above all, create new memories.<\/p>\n

The photo of the month was taken by Ksenija Mravlja, and it shows our youngest member, Hana, exploring this vast wetland in the southwest of the Ljubljana Basin. The marsh is known for its unique nature, rich biodiversity and archaeological finds of pile dwellings, which are under UNESCO protection. The area consists of marshes, meadows and riverbeds, which provide a home for numerous plant and animal species. The marsh is popular for cycling, walking and bird watching.<\/p>\n
