You are invited to the photographic multimedia exhibition "God is Obedient" by Belmin Hod\u017ei\u010d in the club gallery of the Kamnik Photo Club.<\/h1>\n

The opening will be on Thursday, August 27th at 7:30 PM.<\/h3>\n

Each of us is a unique being, whose perspective is limited by our nature, community, and culture. In contrast, the monotheistic Western God is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. God is a narrative force onto which we can project our identities to come to terms with the absurdity of reality.<\/p>\n

As our understanding of the world around and within us grows, we continually push the divine beyond the boundaries of what we know. Like a siren's call, the divine longs to be seen, and we, in turn, seek the spiritual fulfillment that comes from satisfying our need for wonder.<\/p>\n

We see something we cannot explain and we attribute meanings to it. The gods we create are only evidence of our constant attempts to find God, not God himself. The exhibition explores the different ways in which people encounter and shape the idea of God.<\/p>\n

In this sense, I see God as something that shows itself to us. The title \u00bbGod is Obedient\u00ab does not imply that we have control over the divine, but rather emphasizes its playful character. I see God as a child who does a pose and calls his parents to watch him. He shows himself simply for the happiness of being seen.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
