Portfolio Review in the Photon Gallery!
The Photon Gallery invites all photographers and artists who use the medium of photography to attend a special event where you will be able to present your work and get expert opinions from some of the leading domestic and international experts in the field of photography.
Portfolio review is aimed at both beginners and experienced photographers, and offers participants unique individual reviews and comments of their work.

In addition to the assessment of your work, the review may also open up opportunities for exhibitions and other collaborations. Event details
Portfolio reviews will take place on October 9, 2024 in the Photon Gallery in Ljubljana from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event is organized in the context of the School of Photonics and the international competition platform Drugačni svetovi, whose opening of the exhibition of the finalists of the 12th edition of this competition will follow in the evening.
One or more experts will be available to photographers, and each meeting lasts about 20 minutes. The price for a meeting with one expert is €20, and the price of the entire "day package" is €100.
Collaborating experts (the final list will probably be longer!):
– Gábor Máté, professor and head of the Department of Photography at MOME in Budapest.
– Peter Koštrun, professor of photography at ALUO in Ljubljana.
– Ivana Tomanović, professor of photography at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
– Borut Peterlin, internationally renowned photographer, specialist in older techniques.
– Rene Maurin, associate professor for media production and photography at Academia, Maribor.
– dr. Tanja Verlak, photographer and full professor at the Faculty of Education in Maribor.
– Sara Nuša Golob Grabner, independent curator of contemporary art and photography.
Important!
The event is currently planned for one day (October 9), but in the event of a large number of applications, it may be extended to two days.
In the event that a particular specialist is too busy, we will offer you an alternative in the form of another specialist from the same specialist
areas.

To register for the event, please send an email to info@photon.si, which should contain your name, title and description of the project with attached files or links to relevant content. If you are not going to take the full-day package with seven experts, please provide a list of selected evaluators.
The application deadline is September 16, 2024.
