In the Kamnik municipal building at Glavne trg 24, a photo exhibition by Dušan Letnar and Primož Hieng is on display during office hours, each with their own lens showing views of the construction of the local connecting road B31 between Bakovnik and the Kamnik ring road. The exhibition will be on display between August 20 and September 30.
Dušan Letnar approached his work very thoroughly, as he monitored the construction site almost daily, while photographer Primož Hieng captured the construction of the road in flight with the helicopter of the Aviation Police Unit.
Dušan Letnar, born in 1952, in addition to many hobbies in his life, devotes a lot of time to amateur photography. He joined the Kamnik Photo Club in 2005, but had encountered photography many times before.
As a member of the club, he began to actively participate in domestic and foreign photography exhibitions and organized two solo exhibitions with the titles Green and Mak. As a fan of artistic photography, he has not completely surrendered to the digital age, as he also happily uses black and white negatives and surrenders to the smell of the classic darkroom. It is this exhibition that is completely captured on 35 mm negative film. The photographs were created as a record of time - it covered the construction of the Three Bridges Road, or the local connecting road B31. The exhibition presents the area where this bridge stands today in all stages of construction, and he also devoted a lot of attention to photographing all the main actors who contributed to this new stone acquisition. In the photos, you will find the mayor of Kamnik, Anton Tone Smolnikar, Ivan Zidar, the president of the SCT board, Roman Žurbi from the company Žurbi team, many workers, construction machines...
