Oko Kamnik is an open-air photography exhibition, which has been prepared by the members of the Kamnik Photo Club for the eleventh year in a row. In the past, they have tackled many topics that in one way or another reflect Kamnik and its surroundings; natural beauty, cultural heritage, inhabitants and customs.
This year, the topic was not defined in terms of content, and the only instruction for photographers was to capture a documentary series of photographs, which is rounded into a content whole. Seven authors created diverse photographic stories.
Dušan Letnar's series carries a very personal note, the RNMR duo confronts the viewer with the questions of a rich but unfortunately decaying industrial heritage, and Lučka Vavpetič offers an unusual view of Plečnik's legacy. A view into the workshop and a piece of the family life of a carpenter is played by Katja Jeras, while Andrej Flerin takes the viewer on an educational excursion into nature. Last but not least, Blaž Janežič reminds us of the merciless passage of time.
The informal opening of the exhibition will take place on August 19, 2015 at 8 p.m. on the Main Square in Kamnik.
The exhibition will be on view from August 19, 2015 to September 9, 2015.
