Public call for potential exhibitors in the Gallery of the Kamnik Cultural Center
The Kamnik Photo Club invites photographers to submit their original photography project for an exhibition in Galleries of the Kamnik Cultural Center (DKK).
DKK Gallery is a space dedicated to photography and contemporary visual art. With its exhibition program, we want to present high-quality author projects and connect artists from Kamnik, the wider region and all of Slovenia. For the period in February 2027, we are looking for a photography project suitable for an independent gallery presentation. Two authors can also apply together, in the form of an author dialogue.
What are we looking for?
The project topic is free. We are interested in diverse approaches to authorial photography. In addition to the technical and aesthetic quality of the photographs, a clear idea and authorial justification will be key in the selection process. Preference will be given to completed or meaningfully rounded projects with a clear authorial concept.
The project should be sufficiently extensive and well-rounded in terms of content to allow for meaningful filling of the exhibition space.
The application should contain:
- description and concept of the project,
- selection 8–25 photos in a lower resolution that best represents the project,
- a short biography or presentation of the author,
- (optional) basic information about the intended exhibition layout.
Terms of cooperation
Foto klub Kamnik provides exhibition space, exhibition promotion, media support, and assistance with the installation and opening. The costs of producing and preparing photographs for the exhibition are covered by the authors themselves.

Applications are being accepted until November 30, 2026 at the email address: info@fotoklub-kamnik.si. Please send larger files via SwissTransfer, WeTransfer or similar services. Please include the following in the subject of your application: “Project application for the DKK exhibition center”
Selection
The selection of the project will be decided by an expert committee consisting of: Tomaž Berčič, Dušan Letnar and Simon Podgoršek.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome after the procedure is completed and those selected will be assigned a tentative date and instructions regarding the organization of the exhibition.
