Marjan Ciglič – Master for all time

You are invited to visit the exhibition Marjan Ciglič – Master for all time, which presents the life story and work of Marjan Ciglič.

Marjan Ciglič was one of the most important photojournalists in the second half of the 20th century in Slovenia and is considered a pioneer of archiving and documenting photographic material. He was Dnevnik's photojournalist for many years, and played a prominent role in co-creating the newspaper Dnevnik and the weekly Nedeljski dnevnik.
He captured Tito, Richard Nixon, Mother Teresa, jazz trumpeter Louis Armstrong and other famous people in his lens. He left us countless events captured in the lens that took place in Slovenia, be they economically, politically, sportingly and socially important or everyday ones that show the essence of a certain time. Some of them are on public view for the first time at the exhibition Marjan Ciglič - Master for all time.
On view at the Museum of Recent and Contemporary History of Slovenia until February 10, 2025.
