In this documentary series, Ilona Mrgola shows through his lens the everyday life and deep-rooted traditions of the people of Sri Lanka. The photographs take us from the lively rituals on Poya day to the intimate moments of everyday life. At the same time, Ilona remembers the half year she spent among these communities.
Although they have little material wealth, the people she has met radiate happiness, connection and belonging. Their strong sense of community, where they always help and support each other, deeply inspired her.
