On Wednesday, April 24, we are opening an exhibition by Boris Farič, entitled Topographia Sloveniae Modernae, in the Gallery of Doma kulture Kamnik.
The photos on display are modern versions of vedut castles modeled after JV Valvasor, MG Vischer and C. Reichert. With views of castles, the author wants to show the fullness of regional coexistence, urban coherence and the charm of timelessness, which are an invaluable source for showing the identity of the area of today's Slovenia.
Boris Farič was born in 1974 in Ptuj. He is employed as a photographer at the Provincial Museum of Ptuj. With the series of photographs Topographia Sloveniae Modernae, he already participated in Slovenia Press Photo 2010, in Galery VII – NYPH, in DocuClub in Tel Aviv, and in 2010 he was ranked among the 10 best authors in the portfolio review at the Month of Photography in Bratislava.
