World Pinhole Camera Day - let's take photos together!

You are invited to take a group photo on World Pinhole Photography Day on Sunday, April 28, 2019 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The photography will take place under the mentorship of Dušan Letnar, a member of the Kamnik Photo Club, in cooperation with the Kotlovnica Youth Center.

We have pinhole cameras, you just bring a tripod if you have one. We will meet in front of the entrance to Photo Club Kamnik at Fužine 10 in Kamnik.

What is World Snapshot Day?

Every last Sunday in April, this year it will be April 28, is World Pinhole Photography Day. This is an international event that encourages photographers around the world to take pictures the way it all started - with a pinhole camera.

For photoframing with a pinhole camera, we only need a darkened paper or wooden box, or a can with a small hole on the front and a light-sensitive medium on the back - film, photographic paper or glass. For this method of photoframing, we can adapt any photofraf apparatus or make our own box - camera obscura.
